Vacuum canister

Vacuum canister
I have a 91 Laredo and the vacuum canister was missing when I bought it. Any way to establish where the vacuum line starts so I can add a canister?

On my '89 there is one line that runs from the fuel tank to the cannister, and it's a metal line that switches over to rubber line under the hood. It pops up from behind the engine near the firwall on the driver's side. The other one is supposed to be a hard plastic line that runs from the cannister along the firewall around to the lid of the air filter box.

Hi and Welcome to CF. Which one are you talking about? the one in the right front bumper? if so that keeps the vents (upper, lower and middle) from switching while accelerating and goes to the motor ...Tj
