So i just rebuilt my 4.0 new everyting. I have a 96 classic with no fancy gizmos or gadgets and an ax15 tranny. I nstalled my Vacuum gauge in the only to spots that has vacuum connections right on the intake manifold. But no matter where i place it it always reads only 10 inches. I checked high and low for vacuum leaks but none were found. It runs axactly the same as my 89 laredo did that had a drap load of vacuum lines all over the engine but the 89 ran at 20 inches. Is that just how much vaccum is in the 96 classic? or is there something else other then a vacuum leak that i dont know of?
