I dont think you NEED it but I'm sure its there for a reason. I zip-tied mine to the coolant overflow

I cut the hose shorter and put it under the hood next to the fuses.

Its really easy to relocate.

I had my battery out for something else, it took me literally 30 seconds to pop off the lines and move the ball to just under the coolant res.

Haha mine broke off when we were trying to relocate it when i got a new bumper, so we just clogged it and their are no problems. So if it does break off i wouldnt worry about it

I would find another one without, problems it MAY cause,
Slowly losing cruse control, ie: when you set it for 60 and look down a few mins latter your going 45.
4x4, may lose fwd even with lever in 4x4.
And last may not be able to control your setings for ac, ie: when you want to switch from heat to defroster.

Up to you I'm just telling you what I've experienced (except for the fwd part I read that one somewhere)

Nvm I lied. It seems ever since I losted my vaccum ball, the only setting that works is defroster for my climate control, can't get air to come out of the face or legs vents, turning the **** does nothing but turn it off when its in the off position obviously lol
