How can i check for a vacume leak ? i dont want topay a mechanic 80$ to diagnose whats wrong with my xJ when the coe from autozone 3 differant ones is saying my bank 2 and bank 1 are both 2 lean bank 1 JUST popped up today yesterday it was only bank 2

Yeah, that 80 bucks could be better spent on English lessons. You can use a can of carb cleaner to track down a vacuum leak. Just spray along the vacuum hoses and around the intake manifold, the engine RPM should change once you find the leak with the carb cleaner. A lot of repair shops use a smoke tester to find vacuum leaks. It pumps smoke into the intake manifold and it will leak out everywhere a vacuum leak is. I would start by just looking at all of the hoses, looking for cracks or broken hard plastic line, missing hoses, ect.

ROFL! i just woke up like an hr ago give me a beak lol and thanks i think i acually found he problem though i have a wire not plugged into anything and when i plugged it in the check engine light was flickering i think it might just be extremly loose thanks though ill remember that for later when this happens again
