Tommorow I plan on taking off the bumper and bedlining it. The one snag I have hit so far is the vaccum canister. I want to relocate it but don't know where. Where have you guys relocated it, and how difficult was it?

My dad keeps telling me not to disconnect it, but will it hurt anything if I do? I plan on doing this in not even an hour so what supplies did you need to do this?

just disconnecting it to move it while its not running wont hurt anything make sure you keep all your lines and make sure they all go back on it. where is it located right now???

Still on the inside of the bumper, passenger side. I havent moved it yet, but figured while I am taking the bumper off, and with plans of aftermarket bumpers, that it would just be best to move it now and get it done.

well as far as relocating it it depends on how long the lines are on it that go to it and how far they can be moved before you run out of line. you can buy longer lines if you were to put it under the hood where you have a spot. im thinking you should have a spot to put it on the passenger side area of the engine. i wouldnt see a problem with just leaving it where it is right now. you can move it now and when your done doing what you want with your bumper just put it back in

I think I am gona buy longer line and relocate to engine bay. The reason is that If I am going to have it unplugged and removed already why not just remount it somewhere else so when I put on my JCR bumper I don't have to worry about it anymore.

i would put it towards the bottom of the engine compartment. under something that takes up space but has room under the bottom would be good.

My dads convince he can get it to fit on top of the passenger side wheel well.

Theres a spot in the back of the compartment that looks like it will be big enough and have enough space to easly mount it so thats my best bet.

Relocated mine right in front of the harmonic balancer.
Took a small piece of steel (stainless here) and a few screws (stainless also)
Only thing I really needed was a little longer vacuum line.

when u bedline the bumper, dont do the dumbazz thing i did and dont primer it. i used that spray on stuff without primer and now most of it is peeling off and i got rust now. im gonna try to get it powdercoated sometime this summer.

Mine wont be primed, but I am sanding it like a mad man for the most part. My bumper is also different then yours, there are two endcaps that are plastic, with a much smaller metal bumper. This is just a short term thing untill funds for a JCR bumper comes along.
