Just funnin guys I just hadn't checked out the full site I'll follow the rules didn't realize this forum had separate genres . Really was wondering about the inline V6 though . Wasn't purposely jumping forums or incorrectly asking questions and I do use effing Google how the hell you think I found you duh. Oh and I'm really salty about the jeep Chrysler thing amc was the good stuff still love my cherokee's I have 4 2 95's 1 '96 and a newly aquired 99. I do apologize for incorrectly posting , just frustrated with the quality of advice and information I have encountered. Carry on
You don't state your intended use for this swap but I would encourage you to think about it. You could quickly over power the ability of a uni-body to handle v-8 horsepower. Yes, you can plate the frame etc, etc, etc but depending on intended usage it may not be cost effective. As someone stated earlier, you can swap anything into anything with enough money. If you dead set on the swap, Advanced Adapters can usually point you in the right direction. Good Luck.

I have a v8 powered jeep the 99 it's 4.7 motor is bad I have 2 other cherokee's with the inline six power plant .. I love the 6 well (they're not the HO) but question is can I take out the V8 and put the inline 6 in its place without totally changing all electronic components like ecm the bcms under hood harness just a question .again I'm sorry guys didn't mean to but in to a convo, first time on here . And are you saying the six has more hp. Don't think the V8 is factory but it is a jeep I haven really dove in just wanted to know what I was in for
