using front D/S in the rear.....question
Once I install mt RE 3.5...........and my SYE (I'm at 2" and already have rear end vibes)...my concern is this is my D/D...and cannot afford downtime waiting for parts to arrive to get er goin again. Looking at the Tom Woods driveshaft site and a few others...looks like the driveshaft length is pretty critical for the new installation. I'm curious as to how much "play" will I have using a stock front shaft in the rear?
My stock rear springs are flat....and the PO installed a 2" spacer/shackle lift...which I doubt very much is 2" anymore....so I am not at stock and feel I have no reliable starting point to take dimensions from.
God, only knows where 3.5" of lift will have me settin..front or rear...
Hope this makes sense....got a bit of a back injury...an percocets are takin over!!!!

That should help you a little. I would suggest a 30"-32" shaft. I am using a 30" shaft at 4". It's long enough but....JUST long enough.
