Used TUPY 0331 2002 Grand Cherokee
Getting my ducks in order. Buying a used TUPY head from a wrecker for my 2K XJ. I will have it checked by a machine shop.
Would I have the valve springs on the TUPY replaced?.
Would the valves and rockers on the TUPY be cleaned and reused?.
Would I use the original push rods if not bent and original lifters from the 0331?.
Thank you.

Unless the head has uber high miles, use as is. Do not change lifters unless you have problems with current one. If so, buy new.
Get couple cans of brake clean and clean push rods one at a time installing same end back into same lifter.

A good machine will inspect the valves and determine if they can be cleaned up or must be replaced. Obviously, it will cost more if you need new valves, but that's the way it is.
Same goes for the valve springs. The machine shop will test them. They can insert shims below the springs to increase the tension. If they're too far gone, new springs will be required.
Either way, if the shop does it right, your cylinder head should be as good as new.
Personally, if was going through the laborious effort of replacing a cylinder head, I would have it freshened up before bolting it on. I would really hate to pull it off again if there was a problem.
