Urgent HELp no power

Urgent HELp no power
So I drove home and everything was fine- 30 minutes later I go out and attempt to start my 2000 Cherokee- my foot slipped off the brake as I was turning the ignition switch ( don't know if that's important) but my car would not turn over- no power in car anywhere- I jiggled the ignition switch a little and the door buzzer came on--I got a jump and let it run for about 5 minutes and when I put it in reverse it died again-- I noticed my voltage was straight up @ 14 but now has moved a little to the left- please somebody tell me where to start....
