Got a set of KM2's after being a goodyear guy for years and will never go back. KM2's seem to go over anything you point them at! Havent done much mud, but on rocks, I've never had better.

 

KM2's are an amazing tire for everything EXCEPT road driving. the tread is so soft it just wears down extremely quick.

which is their sacrifice from the KM1's that tread was harder but didnt do as well with rock climbing as the KM2's

 

i have on hankook t-34s and love them. problem is they havent been made since like 2002

i have 31x10.50 TSL SSRs and love the crap out of them. They are amazing in all types of terrain. I've only had them for a few months,but if they wear well then i will get them every time.I went offroading with about 20 other rigs and was the only one that didn't get winched out.I acctually went backwards through one of the holes nobody else could get through in forward with no problem.Swampers gets my vote.

 

I'm also running 31x10.5 SSRs. Two things stand out about these tires. They're really heavy, rotating them is a PITA. They also wear really great, I've got 45k miles on 'em and they're only worn about 50% (regular rotations probably help with this).

 

The best all round On/Off road, I've found. Cooper Discoverers STT's. A great M/S tire, for the price. (Very aggressive tire w/ minimal road noise) With a 60k+ rating. I love these, and would highly recommend these!............................................ .....................................JMO!

 

That's the exact opposite from everything I hear about them. They are supposed to wear very well, and my buddy has 35x12.50 KM2's and he said they haven't worn very much and he's had them on his DD truck for over a year.

 

I've had several different brands on my Jeeps and trucks. The first truck I bought was a '79 shortbed Chevy with a 6" lift and 35" Mud Kings, those were surprisingly good tires off and on road, and I've heard they're among the cheapest you can get. I've also had Dunlop Mud Rovers, great tire but they wear out pretty quick on the street. Cooper STT's are great tires as well, but lately they've gotten EXPENSIVE, Cooper used to be a more affordable tire, not anymore,lol. Remington Mud Brutes, exact same tire as the Dunlop Mud Rovers, just a bit cheaper, good tires.
My first XJ came with a set of 235/75r15 BFG AT/KO's, very good street tire and MILD dirt/off road, the absolute worst tire in mud I've ever had.
And finally, I had a set of bias ply TSL's on my '86 Chevy truck, those things are INCREDIBLE off road, and even on road they're fun, makes your vehicle sound like a prop air plane coming down the street,lol, and throwing mud clumps bigger than your fist is impressive too. Unfortunately, these beasts don't like to be on pavement, my set was on my DD at the time, and were completely bald except for the enormous sidewall tread in about 10K miles, maybe less. If you want the ultimate tire, you need to look no further than the bias ply TSL, Bogger's are just as good, and Baja Claws are pretty close too.
I'm hoping to get a new set for my current DD XJ, I've got it narrowed down to either the Hankook Dynapro M/T's(just read a review in 4 wheeler, or 4wd & off road, that gave this tire an AWESOME all around review), the Treadwright Guard Dog(exact same tread as the old Goodyear MT/R's), or the Goodyear Authority A/T's they sell at Wallyworld(they look a lot like the Toyo Open Country M/T's). But, my budget right now is REALLY tight, so I'm probably gonna go with the Treadwrights. Sorry about the novel, just giving my reviews of tires I've had, and maybe helping someone out with their tire selection.

 

around here we have a lot of wet roots, rocks and mud on our wooded trails.
the most popular tire choice here is super swamper. mostly tsl or trxus, but also iroks and boggers.
then the next fav's are prolly procomp extreme and/or good year mtr.

my fav's are interco's. i've had trxus and they're great both on and off road. especially in the wet rocks.
i have iroks now, they're also very good on and off road.
i am prolly gonna try the tsl or bogger in the 35 - 37 inch size next.
