Upside down dash oil pressure gauge

Upside down dash oil pressure gauge
The dash oil pressure gauge on my '88 Cherokee has gone topsy turvy. Instead of the needle pointing up, it points down! It still works, but the needle is upside down. I suspect somehow the voltage has flipflopped. Has anyone ever heard of this before?
