Upper rear shock bolt broke
I could use some help. I am replacing shocks on a '96 Jeep Cherokee. Trying to remove the upper mounting bolts on the rear shocks. I broke the 1st one. I have been soaking them the best I can. Any ideas how to get the remainder out??? Drilling it out is the only thing I can think of. No access from above. NOt sure if the others are going to break loose. Not sure I want to heat them with the gas tank right there (did think of dropping the tank to do this). Any ideas would be great..Must be someone out there that had this problem. Thank You in advance.

Yep cut a hole in the floor the best way to get them out... You can attempt to extract but they are plagued with being a rust weld type deal and it really sucks.
Check out a few of the pics from here and ask any questions you have.

For the rest of your bolts. Try tightening them a lil first then loosen then tighten then loosen until you get it out. I have heard that helps. Ofcourse a lot of PB blaster but if they brake be prepared to cut holes or extract. Extract IMO being more difficult.
