Upper rear main seal stuck, help!

Victory at last! Combination of heat, custom squarish brass drift and BFH did the trick. New seal is in, bearing caps torqued and girdle torqued. Will get the pump later this week. Thanks for the help!

And here's an ugly shot of the deformed metal in the seal.

It does smell like victory when those obnoxiously stubborn parts finally yield. You've earned a few beers.

All done. New high volume oil pump is in, FelPro one piece gasket with little plastic stud hangers made it a breeze. Couldn't get the pump to prime to I pulled the distributor and made a pump drive tool shown in pic, worked like a charm. And the best part was no leaks! Oil pressure is now up to acceptable levels.
