ok, so i heard that you can swap your stock 4.0 injectors for dodge neon, and mustang injectors for a little mpg and power. but I have no idea which is better, stratus? neon? mustang? can anyone please tell me? and what years do i need if i have a 1995 cherokee?

I'd love to use the 19# injectors in my '89 renix, I use them in my bmws but they are known to me as bosch design III's, same ones in the mustangs though.

So I need a 91-95 fuel rail from a 4.0 ho? and the higher fpr.

First off Im so tired of seeing this question. It is asked all the time. Just do alittle searching.

For darknezz I have the ford 19lbs injectors in my 89 I did not do the FPR and it works great. I may have lost some mpg but not sure. They will fit. What that says is to use the FPR you need the rail.

oh ok, I thought they would of been ok. I can get rebuilt design III 19# injectors $10 each shipped and have been wanting to do this for awhile.

What is the benefit of going to the higher fpr? Mine needs replaced anyway.

i just did the ford yellow injectors (stang) seems to run better haven't made a milage run didn't notice hp gain

If Im not mistaken I'm pretty sure neon injectors and stratus injectors are the same they just have to come out of a 2.0 and they have to be the 703 one if I'm not mistaken

yea the last 3 numbers have to be "703". The number is printed on the left side of each injector. You don't have to remove them to see it just twist the injector in the car until you can read the number.

Make sure to clean them and absolutely replace the o-rings (12 total) - you'll need 3 boxes.

I installed Ford 19# injectors on my '87 Renix just a few months ago, I noticed that the engine runs a lot smoother now. I can't say if they helped gas mileage or power, because I built a cold air intake and replaced the 02 sensor almost right after, but the combination of the three really helped out.

i just got mine off ebay. the seller ultrasound cleans them, then flow matches a set at a time so they all fire close if not the same. for $90 i figure it was a better deal then freezin my butt off at the junkyard.

just a heads up, I get my injectors from this guy.

I have them in both my bmws and am getting them soon for my jeep. he ultrasonically cleans and rebuilds them and flow matches.

I think I will be getting the 21lb ones from him for the 535i and use the 19lb ones I just recently got in the 535i in my jeep. They will acomadate the intake/maf>afm/chip nicely.

ive been reading these injector threads for days now...so much my eyes cross seeing the word injector.

Ive looked at the specs listed in the chart above. what is different from the #703 and the #784? is it the connection or what? the flow specs look identical.

1. Do a search on here and you'll find TONS of stuff on doing the injector swap.
2. You need the Chrysler 703's or the Ford 710's. I prefer the Chryslers over the Fords, but that's just a matter of preference - either will work.
3. You do NOT gain mpg from this swap. You will get a smoother idle and better throttle response, but you will get worse mpg if you don't reset your ECU. Without resetting your ECU you'll run rich, burning more fuel than needed.
4. YOU do NOT need the rail and FPR either. neither gives any improvement.
5. The 703's can be found in both Neon's and Stratus's with the 2.0.
6. The main difference between the 703's and 784's is the connection style. Without the correct connection they will not work.
