Default Upgrading to 3" lift

Right now I have rough country 2" lift (Shackles with 1.5" and 2" lift slots) and 2" coil spacers, I was thinking of upping it to a 3", but a standard 3" kit would not work at the original shackles were cut for the new ones. So what do you guys think of this, 3" lift coils, sway bar links and a 2" half leaf add a leaf kit with the shackle at the 1.5" lift slot (since the rear sags somewhat with the leafs now and add a leafs are notorious for sagging)?

Don't bother with the AAL, if you have sag now it will just get worse. Go to a JY a get some S-10 springs. The S-10 main under your lain will give about 1.5", the whole s10 pack under your main will give about 4". Since yo have a extended shackle you can mix and match the bastard pack to acheive just about any lift you want fron 3" to almost 6" in the rear. 3" coils a good idea. You will also need an adjustable trackbar. You should get some ADJ LCAs. Plan for a SYE in the future, a TC drop may work for driveline vibes for lifts under 3.5"

I did 3in coils and 2in spacers on my 96 and a S-10 bastard pack.If you do this set-up then your going to need to use the XJ main and all but the bottom helper from the S-10.It gave me around 4.5 in the back .Mine sits level cuz I put a winch and bumper on it that took it down almost an inch in the front.I put discos on 1in tc drop and a hd steering stabilizer.Other than that I didn't touch anything else and have been good.No DW,vibes or bumpsteer.I wheel it pretty hard too.Still the stock trac bar and steering. If you do the bastard pack then you will have to drill the centering pin holes out from 5\16 to 3\8 for the S-10 pin.I had to grind the head of the pin a little to get it to fit in the axle.If you have any ?s just pm me and I'll be more than happy to help.

will the s10 main still have the eyelets for the bushings where they used to mount on the s10? or am i thinking of the wrong leaf? also, when doing this is it necessary to remove the whole leaf spring, or just have it completely depressed then disassemble with my main still connecter on each end to my frame and shackle?
