Default upgradeed headlights?......

has anyone put the white or blue headlight bulbs in an older cherokee Xj. cause i had a strap break pullin someone out and it came back and smashed my headlight. thinkin bout just goin ahead and upgradin, but do you thinkit would look good?

I upgraded mine with a new insert from a local accessory shop. It has a blue ring, but I haven't hooked it up yet. I used IPF Fatboys in it. So far I like them. They are legal in all states and provide very good light on low beam and I don't get flashed.

Yeah 60/55 Watt are road legal that's the H4 or 9003 bulb. Google ought to be able to point you in the right direction for a Cherokee H4 conversion or 9003 conversion kit.

Its worth it sense you really need to replace both of them anyway and the sealed beam headlamps just don't do it...

i got my h4 conversion from summit for like 50 bucks for both housings, then got some free silverstars from work and they look great.

www.quadratec.com GO with the IPF H4 conversion housings, and whatever bulbs you want.

You can probably get H4 housings on eBay for real cheap then put whatever bulb you want in them. My son-inlaw got H4 housings for $20 and put in Sylvania SilverStars all for $35 on eBay...Tj

I put a set of silver stars in mine and helped a little. They last a long time too,4 years in mine so far.

Upgrade to a HD harness and some H4's bulbs and good Headlights. You won't be sad.....

the best upgrade is the hella e code housings and an upgraded wiring harness with some nice 80 watt low beam and 120 watt highs

i put in GE Night Hawks and their unreal.. not illegal and very easy to install.

with the H4 housings you can install a Ebay HID kit? what vehicles have the 4x6 H4 housing? maybe i can find them at the JY.

I don't think any of them do. It is strictly an aftermarket upgrade.

AFAIK all Cherokees from 86-2001 have the 4x6 square headlights. Here is a link to where my son-in law got his...Tj
