Default UPDATE!!

I got a new wheel cylinder and put it on, and bled all four tires. The brake pedal felt tight enough, until i started the jeep and let it run for a couple, then got back in the jeep and went to take it for a test drive, and when i push on the brake pedal it feels like im pushing on a bicylce pump( i can feel and hear air as im pushing) for about 3or so inches until it gets tigh almost at the floor(still doesnt feel very tight.) i dont think i was supposed to bleed them with the car on, so why is it still mushy??

Were they good before you did the wheel cylinder? If so do a full bleed pattern, start at the left front wheel, right front, left rear then the right rear. Make sure the system is bleed really well. If the pedal is mushy it's air. If it's a master cylinder, usually you will have brake fluid down the booster/firewall either under the hood or under your dash and carpet. Did you make sure the master stayed full at all times during the bleed? If it sucked air at any point then you must start with a full bleed at all 4 wheels.

Ok i bled the brakes again and got it alot tighter, but then i noticed that between the brake master cylinder and the brake power booster theres air leaking, is there a seal or something between the two?

if not do you think its the master cylinder or brake booster? plz help

Holy crap chill man!
If I knew I'd help you. But bumping a thread over and over won't help to solve your problem. Relax and be patient, or pay a mechanic to do it.
The person who knows will answer when they read it and have time to post it.

Patience man.

Bleed rr - lr -rf - lf , in that order. Do not let the brake fluid get too low! You can't over bleed the system. Older jeeps tend to have the hissing problem, which is normal until pedal gets hard all the time. The hiss is a small leak in the booster diaphragm and not an immediate problem. When the booster goes out completely you will still have brakes - they will just be harder than normal. There is not a special seal between the booster and the master. I suggest bleeding the snot out of the system and adjusting the rear shoes first!

You can open ALL BLEEDERS at the same time and over a few hours it will self bleed...just keep an eye on the fluid level. If you hear air its probably the vacuum booster leaking or the hose going to it that bad...Tj
