Upcountry suspension question

Hello all, I have a question about suspension. My xj is a 99 limited and came with the upgraded "upcountry" suspension, which I believe is a 2" lift.

So I guess just looking on any input about if this is a quality lift (seems pretty good to me) and if say getting a 3" lift would just be a waste of money. As I'm a "newb" to suspension, say I got the 3" I'd have to take out the upcountry right? And end up paying for one extra inch?

Also what size tires would fit nicely on it, without rubbing or any of that nonsense . I'd also like to keep my stock "luxury" rims that came with it, on it.
Thanks guys!

30x9.50x15 should fit with no rubbing

235x75x15 fit stock suspension with no problems

If you get the 3" lift go for 31" tires.

The Upcountry is only a 1" lift. Yes, you'll have to replace it when putting in a bigger lift. If keeping that lift I'd run a 235/75 or 30x9.5. If going 3", I'd go 31x10.5.
