Question up-shift indicator light when in overdrive?

I have a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Classic 4.0L Automatic that I have noticed lately that there is an up arrow of the information center on the dash that seems to come on whenever I hold a steady speed in overdrive. I have searched the problem without solving the problem - have had the Jeep to the local dealer who suggested starting with the TPS which I did - no luck. I just replaced the transmission shift computer - no luck - any suggestions?

I'm as a loss!!!

sounds like it has a ecu from a manual...
Just pull the bulb/tape over it.
