Unsure problem.
Hello, I have a 2000 Cherokee sport 4.0L Stock height.
The check engine light says it's P0420 (Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)) came on after I went into a puddle, and got about exhaust deep. It was running okay until two days ago it started to idle high/low then stalled out when it reached zero idle. It runs fine when I am accelerated or higher then 2xxxRPM but stalls out when I am stopped, slowing down and even parking sometimes.
I read a few other people have had this problem on the Cherokee and it turned out to be the Idle Air Control Valve. But no code comes up for that...any suggestions would be great, thank you.
