I have a 96 Jeep Cherokee its an automatic transmission. i have been having a problem for the last 4 months i brought it to different mechanics, replaced different parts (distributor, solenoids, Cadillac converter, fuel pump, and alternator) it still has the same problem !!! since im a girl i feel people are just taking my money ! maybe you guys can help me ! here are the problems...

After driving the car for a while it feels like it has to jump into gear especially on the freeway going like 60- 70 mph, it kind of makes a clunk noise. sometimes when im in park before i turn the car off the rpms will fluctuate.
I know how much power my car has and it doesn't seem to be up there like it should be.

Can you guys help a girl out ? please ?

 

Sounds like a sensor to be honest, there are a few that work in conjunstion. My money would be on the Throttle Postioning Sensor and the Crankshaft Positioning Sensor.
