oooh ok my bad. i read it wrong. ya i been meaning to jack up the front end and let all the suspention dangle and see what all is loose and ready to fall apart. just havenot got around to it quite yet. im thinking about getting a 2 inch lift though. maybe that would show somewhat of how the suspention works

now i got a question, do all the early years (Around 93) have shocks? cause mine only has coil spring in front and a rubber bumper inside the coil and in the back is leaf springs. there isnt even a mount to bolt a shock on.

Is there a preference as to which hub I should use?

There are no signs of wear on anything, it's amazing how clean and un-messed with it is under my XJ. I was blessed with this original beauty. (good shopping skillz)

I'm try to do my best in regards for preventative maintenance and take advantage of a place to work. I'd like to see 255K on my XJ with min headaches...
Not to sound like a wise guy, but I always try to find the best parts I can, avoiding "Made in China" if possible. Hey, 155k, thats a poke on some bearings and shaft joints, so for doing preventative and you're good with parting with the cheese, why not.
No worries getting 255k, my '97 has 325k on it and I drive it every day, up until 6 weeks ago, over 700 miles/week. All I ever did was change the fluids regularly, and whenever a major glitch came up, well, that was the "car payment". Wheel bearings and shaft joints=car payment. I haven't made alot of "car payments" with that one.

Not too hard a job to do, southern car, even better, very little to no rust.

Not to encourage your threadjacking, but yes, all XJs 84-01 has front shocks mounted right next to the coil spring.
