Default I just shorted out the bulb replacing it.. MY GAUGES DON'T WORK NOW! S.O.S

Search "12v SMD panel" and look for the ones that have the adapter sets with them. I put them in my dome lights too - WAY brighter!

(That blue switch is my rear fogs, not the leds, btw.)

Hey Fella! I simply was replacing the old footwell bulb with a new one from the auto parts store.. I admit I did not disconnect the battery. Lesson Learned... (Generally don't do that step on a bulb replacement, until now!). Well as I tried to get the bulb installed, a few blue flashes of electricity... And Bam! No more instrument gauges... Let alone the footwell light. Fuses of apparent relevance appear to be good, unless I'm missed one. What would you look at next? (FYI - the turn signals and hazards didn't work prior to, and still don't. Instrument lights are fine, but the needles aren't working. Radio died with my blue flash as well.

Thanks for any and all who could reply. Gotta get it road worthy with the electrical!

Picked up an xj last august - protect car for my son. Been using the forum for insight (Thank You! ) but this is my first post.

we have a 2000 xj SE and I have taken apart lower dash on driver side and glove box on passenger side and can’t find the connectors for the floor well lights. Is it possible the SE wouldn’t have the connectors? I have looked everywhere and don’t see them.

any help would be appreciated!
