Unable to start 96 cherokee, guru's help

IT's ALIVE... IT LIVES....
To everyone who helped me figure this out.. This Forum is fantastic.. thanks for all the assist.. OK so now on to what fixed it and got it running..
Replaced the PCM.. put in one from a 98 xj.. got it for 50.00 on a website (not sure if i am supposed to say it here but starts with a name and ends in list)
The second i put the key in and in the ON position.. I hear the blasted fuel Pump kick in and knew this is it..
