Default Ujoint bolt missing

One of the bolts holding my front driveshaft ujoint together is gone. poof. vanished. Is this significant enough to drop my front driveshaft till i find a new bolt? I thought the ujoint was shot but could it just be the missing bolt that gives me vibes?

yup, very well could be.
i would just hit up a junk yard to grab another bolt.
i don't see a need to drop the shaft tho. unless you can't put up with the vibrations.

if you still have vibes with the bolt in, then you may have to replace the u-joint.

Yoke screw? 1/4"-28x1", do not buy Chinese.

Use LocTite #242 (or equivalent) when you put the new screw in.

If you're not going to get the screw anytime soon, pull the front driveshaft before you drop it, replace all screws (and use LocTite) when you put it back in.
