Unhappy Uh oh;(

I am an apt manager and as I cleaned under this jeep today I noticed this hanging down(after I bumped it) so I have no idea if it was already like this, or what it even is. The tenant isn't home and I'd love to know if it's my cause and how to fix it. Please help. Thank you

Is that the front axle? It's the diff breather, goes into the back of the axle's pumpkin.

The differential (center part of the axle), look for an open hole on the back side (the side the drive shaft goes into) for the breather.

I don't think you had anything to do with this, just cleaning under the vehicle. If you see the owner you could let him know what you noticed, but like the other poster said it does look like the breather line for the axle, it just came loose from the clip that holds it up by the frame.

Well that's certainly a wonderful conclusion in contrast to the uncountable scenarios of various cataclysmic outcomes I was able to dream up. I apparently can create an uncountable abundance of worst case scenarios, none of them cheap. Thank you thank you thank you. I will show him this thread so he sees I tried diligently to be as informative as possible about a potential issue, and breathe a huge sigh of relief! You are wonderful!

Yeah you would of had to been cleaning the top of the axle to come into contact with that if it wasn't already hanging down.
