I have one, it works pretty well, as long as you PB blast it good first. Also, I broke one before because I tried to turn the chrome part that goes on the stem of the shock. That doesn't work, you ahve to turn the black socket that goes on the nut, and use the chrome piece to keep it from spinning.

 

Or just use a wrench on the bolt and a socket on the shock top.

 

i used a big vice grip in wheel well and ratchet in the engine bay, just lock the vice grip down hard and turn with the ratchet till it holds on something and turn away

 

I want it! I have 6" shocks in the rear. If I relocate my lower mounts I'm only gonna need like 3 or 4" shocks. Then I can use the ones from the rear on the front and it will be perfect!

 

small pipe wrench on the piston works also

 

You know these would be VERY easy to make!

 

I just break the nut loose, hold the ratchet in one hand reach into the wheel well with the other and spin the shock off.

 

lol idk why they still do, seems theyve cleaned up their act some. and they really do make great stuff. I've never seen shackles beefier and more reinforced than the ones I got from them. and they're the only place I know that sales actually solid steel blocks instead of hollow aluminum ones

I have the JKS, I would have made something but time was a issue and I needed to get shocks on the jeep..........It's pretty beefy

 

a impact with a extension worked for me on the driver side had to have the lower bolt out and push the shock towards the transmission to use the impact
