Ive got a bad one in the RF and Im wondering what are decent ones? Daily driver with weekend off roading. Nothing serious but Im on bumpy, dirty, muddy roads often (totally stock everything). I checked Quadratec and they have a few different ones but Im not sure on the differences. Also checked Summit and they have them too, but a lot less expensive.
Also, are the ujoints on my front axle different than on my drive shaft?
How do I know what to get? Also thinking since that one is "bad" (thats what the garage said when I had a tired plugged today but I havent looked at it cause its been pouring) that I mine as well change them all since they are all original. Thanks!

axle ujoints are totally different from driveshaft ujoints.
X2 on Advance Auto's Brute Force line of u-joints.
Axle U-joint part number for a 99XJ is 1-0297BF

Precision makes the Brute joint. It's available at quality parts stores also. I got a pair the other day for $20 each. Make sure to get the HD greasable joints. Best for daily driving, just remember to grease them regularly.
Then Get a Set of CroMo axles and CroMo Joints to wheel in the rocks!

Sorry, I was thinking of the Brute Clutches.
Federal Mogul/Precision makes "SuperStrength" joints in greesable and non greaseable. 377 are the greeasable ones. Stronger joints have solid crosses and can only be greesable if the have a fitting on each cap.
Just some extra info:

Thanks. After some more research I found the differences on the ujoints from front axle/wheel, driveshaft/axle, etc.
My next question is, I dont have an Advance near me, but I have Car Quest and NAPA. From some research I did, I found that the Car Quest Gold are the same as the Brute, and the NAPA are Precision. So apparently they are all made by the same company?
I havent checked on the price at Car Quest, but NAPA has the Precision greasable with lifetime warranty for like $25 each, so Ill probably go that route.
Thanks again!
