U-Joint Confusion?

This is what happens when a needle bearing is out of place and you don’t realize it. I should have known i was putting too much pressure on it. Snapped the little ear that keeps the snap ring in place clean off. I kept the shaft and old u joints in it for a trail spare, but it’s defintiely not a daily driver shaft anymore.

I had the lovely experience of putting the driveshaft in, driving a couple hundred feet from my driveway and having the u-joints blow out of the shaft and shear off the strap bolts on my rear pinion yoke. I should have trusted my gut that the u-joint was too tight to be right....
