Default U Joint ?

Going to order u joints for the front axle and just wanted to double check the right size I need. I have a 96 d30 non abs should be 260 right? or would the 297x/760 work? some websites show that the 297x/760 work with all models but I have a feeling this might be wrong.

1996 should take the 297x/760x type. But as it's '96... well... it's best to go check. Someone may have swapped them too.

If you can't see a part number on the cross itself measure the diameter of the bearing caps.

Just did my 95 and they were 297s. 95.5 was supposedly the change date. Cap sizes are decently different between the two.
