Okay, So i crawled under my xj and am almost positive I have a chrysler 8.25 (pictures to come) because it has that flat lip on the bottom. So I ordered some u-bolts for the 8.25.
the Specs were grade 8 zinc 1/2" diameter x 3" wide and then I just went with 8" tall. I know that they are too tall but I figured I can cut to size. But I crawled under the xj and there seems to be a BIG gap between them. I'll post that picture as well. Now I'm starting to think that I have a D35... can somebody just confirm for me?

Yes I did. I have a buddy who works for fastenal and he saved me quite a bit of money on these. When measuring U-bolts do you measure from inside to inside?
And I'm glad I wasn't living a lie... if I would have bought them for the wrong axle I would have slapped myself silly! haha

When I had the local spring place make my U-Bolts for my '92, I drove it there and had them measure the rear axle. WIN! Perfect fit.
Maybe drive it there if possible?
