ok guys got myself in to a "new" jeep this weekend its a 1990 cherokee limited 4.0 4 door and i have two things that are driving me nuts 1 no gauge lights are working and two all the dome lights are on and will not shut off unless i pull the fuse i know that the headllight switch can cause promlems but the truck also has a after market alarm that has been diabled (kinda) the former owner kinda just start cutting wires randomly could the alarm coause these two issues or is it just the headlight switch please sombody has to know something about this

 

well ended up running a wire from switched power and back feeding the circuit for right now works like a charm

 

Those problems don't sound car alarm related to me. When a car alarm is broke it let's you know by either beeping or disabling your ignition.
