Default Turn signals

Hey guys on my way home from work today my buddy was following me and told me that occasionally when I would turn on my turnsignals both sides would flash. I having this problem on my 99. You guys got any ideas on what could be causing it?

My guess would be maybe something is messed up with your actual turn signal unit and is shorting sometimes.

I am guessing it would happen only when turning left? Yeah I had the same exact issue on my 98 and the problem turned out to be my multi-function switch. Here is how you replace it. You can either buy a new one or take apart the old one and clean all the old grease and corrosion off the contacts. I cleaned all the contacts myself and re-installed it, fix my problems.

I should note that there are some small parts in that switch so if you take it apart do so over like a clean table or something. It can be somewhat of a pain to get it back together too, took me about 4 tries to get it back together but better than buying a new switch for $100 IMO.
