So I am working on my 88 xj 2 dr Loredo, and theres something funky with the turn signals. I put my turn signal on and the lights turn on... and stay on. no blinking. I checked the fuses, replaced all the bulbs, and replaced the flasher thing... I heard it could be grounds, which I started checking, and am probably going to just rewire the grounds to new positions with new wire since they are old, but it hasn't allowed my flashers to blink yet. I am lost on this...
and a real quick question on the old xj's... where is the emergency flasher switch? I think mine was rigged and removed, because I see nothing there, and I know this seems like a stupid question, but I would just rather ask it.
Thanks

I had the same problem on my 84 Cherokee Chief, turned out to be bad bulb, high resistance through turn switch in steering column, had it fixed for a few weeks, the it came back, final fix was a poor connection near the rear tail lights on driver side. Working on these things, should buy a 5 gallon pail of electrical connector grease. Also, get you some electrical contact cleaner, works awesome! The only way I found that bad connector was to ohm out the wires!
