Flasher, turn signal switch or the headlamp switch.

Just checked advance auto, just out of curiosity what is the difference between the Tridon and BDW flashers. The Tridon is only 14.99 and the BDW is 52.29. Why is there such a difference in price and is the expensive one any better than the cheaper one?

I got the cheaper one and the only complaint I have with it is that the blinker "chime" has more of a tinny sound than before. Why the price difference? I honestly don't know. Maybe the counter guy can tell you. All I know is $14.99 worked fine for me.

I have the tridon. The LED version. It's a small cleaner sound. They all do the same, but the tridon I have works with all LED light bulbs. I switched to it because the OEM wasn't flashing right. It would flash, buzz.... Flash a few times and buzz again. When it would buzz, there would be no flash. But I gotta remove the U-Haul trailer harness. I'm hoping that will stop the above action happening when I had the four ways and my head lights on or my foot on the brake.

My emergency flashers come on occasionally when i put a turn signal on. My girlfriend got pulled over for it. The cop showed her the video of what he saw. He had her try out the turn signals again. This time no emergency flashers. Just Signals like normal. I was just thinking some wiring issue. But, this thread gives me another lead.

I'm going to try getting a new relay from advance auto, if that doesn't work I'll either consult this forum again or take it to a local dealer that is an expert with Jeeps, especially cherokees.

Sorry about the multiple posts, but I forgot to mention that I think I am almost positive it is the flasher relay because when I put my left turn signal on sometimes the four ways come on but only in the back, the front ones are always normal.

Any luck? I ripped my tow hitch harness out and that wasn't the issue. I have to see if I can find a better flasher.

I have a 98 Xj and when I use the left turn signal my hazards in the rear turn on until I turn the wheel to make the turn, then they go back to normal. Has anyone had any luck replacing the flasher or multifunction switch?
