Quote: I have a 2000 and it is totally stock and i was tryn to find a mostly complete kit for a good price wats the good and the bad about the rc and wat else did u buy that the kit didnt come with
Rubicon Express 3.5" Superflex

Quote: the kit comes with everything except the tires.

the kit includes Front coil springs, front lower control arms, transfer case drop kit, front track bar drop bracket, swaybar links, brake line relocating brackets, 4 RC Hydro 8000 series shocks, and rear add-a-leafs and shackles or you can upgrade to NEW rear leaf springs.

But i added a control arm drop kit so that it was only at 3in lift to keep stress off the arms. but It is not a necessity man
At 4.5" you need to get adjustable uppers to adjust caster. not to mention, hydro shocks suck, brake line relocating brackets are stupid, and the RC 4.5" kit's arms are poly and will rip your control arm mounts off. But yes, a CA drop kit will help. And get new leafs, please.

Quote: Well i keep hearing about this death wabble is that gonna happon and will i need a sye right away im poor haha and ill have to save and i hope it dont look to gay with 235 for a month or so haha thanks alot man
Learn to write english, and yes, any 95+ XJ will more than likely need a SYE kit and new driveshaft, and yes, getting "death wabble" is a possibility.

Quote: well right now i have the money for just the lift so im gonna get it so wat is the next thing i need to get a track bar
Then dont buy it and keep saving.

Quote: The beloved death wabble is in the steering system and the control arm bushing. It does not have anything to do with a lift kit.
No youre absolutely wrong. Anything loose, worn, out of adjustment, or simply a ****ty aftermarket part in the front end can cause death wobble.

Quote: well after i buy the lift wat stering peaces should i start to buy
wat?

Quote: well if it starts the death wabble then u should just buy what parts you think is going bad.
good, just keep throwing money at it.

Quote: at 4.5" i think a DPA is in order. at liest thats what im going with.
No, drop pitman arms dont work and most of the time make bumpsteer worse.

Well I'm glad you helped clear the air. I'm still trying to decide which kit I will get too (since the RE is out of my price range). I know lifts are constantly being discussed, but I think we can all agree that there is a lot of misinformation out there (e.g., I knew a guy who, forums, internet, sales people, etc.). I have benefitted greatly from the information on lifting hidden in this forum, but I seem to get more and more confused as I read sometimes. Bottomline is (for me at least) that lifting can be really confusing with all the additional parts (SYE, trackbar, etc.) if you don't have a good working knowledge of vehicles. I seriously need a remedial course on suspension and steering and such. Argh.
