So I'm done with this jeep. I took it wheeling twice and each time has ended with 10 million things breaking. I. AM. DONE. once this thing is fixed its going up for sale. Anyways as you can see I'm just a little frustrated with this thing. Long story short I went wheeling and destroyed the pinion bearing which in turn destroyed my pinion gear. I have a spare D30 with the same gears so it'll be an easy swap right? Not with this jeep. I'm trying to remove the axle I get to the tierod ends on the track bar and the tie rod that connect to the knuckles. I remove the pins and start to turn the castle nuts and they are seized onto the bolts. I tried heat, PB Blaster... they are just spinning with the bolts. Is there a way to get these free without haveing to cut them off and buying a new trackbar and a new tierod end? I am at my wits end with this POS!

Impact gun may be your only hope here.
The bolt of the tie rod has a round ball on the other end that sits in a socket and is capable of spinning. An impact will help hammer it lose.

You may be able to get something on the other end and pry to keep it from spinning? If it is possible, might be worth trying. No need to rage quit over one problem, make it a learning experience!

you have no idea how much has gone wrong with this jeep and how many things I've had to replace. its really quite sad...
ok I tried using a c-clamp to hold the knuckle and the drag link together but theres no room to get a socket or even a wrench on the castle nut. I even tried using my floor jack to lift under the drag link to push it against the knuckle but as soon as I put a socket on it it still spins with the nut. I'm running out of ideas. I cant be the only one who has had this problem.

What ive always done on customer cars is take my giant chanel locks and squeeze the tre down aagainst the knuckle and zipped it right off with my impact. The tre and knuckle will be between the jaws of the pliers with just enough room to get a socket on there
