Default Trouble reattaching stock fender flares

Well I had to do a little body repair on the XJ, and I took off my front left and rear right flare for paint. I noticed that the front one was attached to these steel brackets (mine were rusting away so when i pulled it off, they all fell apart). I'm putting everything together now and can't get the front left one on. I don't have the brackets anymore so what can i do to reattach them? I was thinking just some new bolts or something, what would you do?

Default I did some of the same.

Some of my brackets were saveable. All the screws broke. I ground and drilled the broken ones out, the welded 1/4-20 bolts in. Done.

Honestly, theres double sided tape that works wonders. Use it for a couple months during the inspection time here

This works well if you don't mind a gap between the flares and fender. If you want a clean factory look then bolt them on.

Yeah when i pulled off my flare all the bolts broke clean off. I decided I'd save the brackets if i ever need them, I just took some bolts I found in the garage, and tightened them up so it'll stay on.... If bushwacker flares weren't so expensive, i'd go buy them and say forget the stock ones because they're too much trouble!

This normally happens since the bolts gets rusted and the surface where its bolted is weakened by rusts....
