Is there anyway I can trim my fenders while still being able to use my stock flares after trimming? I barely rub but it's just enough to annoy me and I like the look of my Xj with my fenders. Any input is appreciated. Pics of work done would be great too. Thanks!

A lot of people trim and drill holes to install their stock flares higher.. YOu can also use rear TJ flares as well.

I think TJ flares look bad on the front of XJs. I would do what the previous poster did or just use TJ flares on the rear and do a nice clean job trimming the front.
I personally will be trimming front and rear to the seams. Then bending thin wall tubing to match the arch. The I will chop 90* out of the tubing and weld it to the seam and panel.
