Trimmed Stock Front Bumper. (Pics)
My Brother-In-Law and I trimmed the front bumper on my Jeep yesterday. We also pulled the throttle body off and thoroughly cleaned it and it's idling quite a bit better! I'm going to finish trimming the fenders sometime this week or next! I think it turned out looking great!! I'm very pleased with the outcome! Here are some before/afters...

I think it may be a little much. But I wouldn't call it stupid. At least you are getting your hands dirty. Looks like your tires may rub your fenders.

Glad u got her idling better! & that was a bit much cut off, but really the front end has such a good aproch angle that to smash the trim he would have to be tryin like a 4' step up!!! Plus that trim is cheap online or from the JY!

Hey bro, it is all about what you like. If you like and you did it, that is all that matters man! I am running a Detours back bone with no front bumper and love the way it looks. I am going to trim the front fenders and cut them off about where yours are when I get my lift and new tires put on. Here is how I am rolling now...

I like the 31's and no lift.
Post pictures once you've trim'd the fenders.
I like cutting back the front bumper. I left mine stock, and shoved it up into the headlight housing and fender. What a mess that made.
I cut it back as a short term fix, and got a proper bumper when funds allowed.
It has saved sheet metal numerous times.

It's not too bad, but might as well just take it off, and do what you can for a steel bumper. My front took a serious impact last Sunday, and thanks to my steel bumper, everything was saved. You have no clue how important it is to have a soild front bumper.
Lets see pics of those trimmed fenders!
