Default Trim? more than just fenders

Anyone got pics or a write up for cutting the piece from right under the rear brake lights I was looking at it to day and the pass. side looks easy cut and weld but the driver side with the gas filler I don't know about. I'm going to get some pics so you guys can see what I'm talking about when I get my camera back. I know I have seen it done just wondered how it was done?

yea If I don't then when it gets alittle warmer I'm just going to do it. It would be a good time to undercoat under the gas tank when I take i out for welding.

Thanks for posting that link. That is exactly what I needed. Something I can do without spending a wad of cash.

bigbadxj when you do this do a writeup and include how you do the side with the gas fill tube..

the filler tube runs up higher then where he cut in the wright up so it should not be an issue

Will do and I may still just cut it all the way off and weld a piece back in just depends on a few things. i'm going to get some local guys together and see what we can do. But I will do a write-up no matter what.

Yes but you have a bumper that wraps around and under it.

This is what I'm going for.
And here is another one they just don't show how it's done(if the same way) on the gas filler side.http://ericsxj.com/corners.htm

You do the cut and fold or just cut and put a new piece on?

yesterday when i was in the shop i was looking at the quarter panels. i thought about the cut and fold option and just cutting it off and adding stronger metal. the passenger side looks easy, its the driver side with the fuel neck that everyone knows is the problem.

did you figure out a way to do it? ive seen people raise their fuel tank into the cargo area which would also give you more clearence but i need to keep as much cargo space "for now"
