Default trany fluid and oil pressure

Who knew that if your transmission fluid is low that it will also cause your oil pressure to drop

Yea. Makes no sense. Oil pressure is lower hot. (as the muty-wt gets thicker ). But I believe the trany fluid reads HIGHER as it warms up. If it read lower instead, I could see how it might look that way.

Nah it has something to do with how when your tranny starts to slip from being low on fluid it takes load off the motor so its not pulling as much but its at the same rpm

Since the engine oil level is checked with the engine off, (after it's been sitting level for a minute or two), the tranny slipping or not won't effect it. Hope that helps.

(Auto Trans is checked hot, idling in park)

Not sure about this. Seems to me pressure is driven by bearing tolerances, amount and viscosity of oil and oil pump rpms. (when working correctly)

Are you saying your pressure would also drop when driving in snow, on ice or mud? That would be less stress on the motor as the tires spin.

Not saying your wrong, Im just saying it doesnt make a whole lot of sense to me.

Woops, you're right. I did get off track. Odd condition. ""it takes load off the motor so its not pulling as much""" Like going down a grade. Guess you could keep your tranny full so your engine oil pressure will stay up.
