does any one have any idea how big of a project it would be to convert a automatic to a 5spd. how to do it. my bigest fear is the fabrication on the center consel assuming the transmition would swap effortlessly without having to get a new transfercase and the compatibility is good never seen it done really

 

it can be done the easiset way would be a same year donor vechicle

 

console would be the same just need a lot of little things if you want the factory look the donor xj would have all you need

 

will it go in without having to change my transfercase and or any other modification adapters or any thingof that sort

 

prettyy sure the tc would be the same ive heard drive shaft are different lengths between auto and stick the srossmembers are different ,theres going to be different wiring harness connectors under there also,clutch pedals will need to be installed ,different flywheel ,piolit bearind in the back of crank shaft ,the donor vechicle will ease the transition and you will get a lot of extra parts
