Transmission Sound?
I have a 2k 4L with 116k on the clock. Have a sound coming from the transmission. Verified using a stethoscope. Checked the flex plate. It's tight. The sound is between the noise of a lifter and a rod knock only much quieter. It appears to "go away" once the truck is moving. At first (a couple of months ago) I could hardly hear the sound. Now it's more apparent.
