Default Transmission shifting wierd. Sumone PLEASE HELP.

I have a 1995 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 4x4 Np 231 transfer case and an automatic transmission not too sure which tranny it is. Right after I installed 31" tires i noticed that the tranny wasn't shifting from 1st gear until i let go of the gas and let it shift. Once it shifts to 2nd it felt very sluggish so i don't know if its shifting to 2nd or 3rd after 1st gear. After about 2-3 weeks of that, it started working fine for about 1 week, then the same thing happened all over again for about almost 1 month. Then it worked fine for about a week and a half. After that the tranny shifts without me letting go of the gas but still has that sluggish feel and boggs down right after 1st gear. Ive given it a tranny oil change but nothing changed. I dont know if I need a total rebuild or what but if sumone has had the same problem or knows what my problem is please help. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You.

Well, the automatic tranny in your 95 XJ is the Aisian AW4 4-speed auto. As far as your problems it sounds like a servo problem.

Thumbs up Thanx

Thanks a lot Buck, it does make a lot of sense that it could be the servo.
