Default Transmission Shifting ?

I put my shifter (auto trans) all the way down into the (1 2) position and it doesnt seem that it will shift out of 1st gear. Is it suppose to shift into second gear? What would most likely be the problem to correct this?

Thanks

Aaron

it shifts at like 4k or something a bit high when you drop it down into 1-2

it shifts to 2nd at 5000 revs and that is normal when you are driving in 1-2 position. Its what it is for, its not for normal road use.
