Ok I dropped my tranny and the gasket that is between the shifter (its a 5 speed) was broken soooo I need a knew one and I don't know what its called!! So that's exactly what I need to know... what is that gasket called?? Thanks everyone!

 

Go to Jeep or Chrysler dealer... they can pull up a pic and order any part you will ever need for the tranny... not that expensive... your not gonna get it anywheres else... I tranny shop will even order from them...

 

Rtv silicone is all I use for them run a decent bead and tighten your four bolts back down

 

I'm guessing you mean the boot that always ends up torn... not the one you see sitting there but the one underneith...

 

never mind! I found it its a shifter gasket retainer...
