ok i have 2 automatic transmissions 1 from a 94 cherokee and the other is from a 97. my question is how much different are they besides the wireing. is it possible to pull the tranny pan and swap the 97 wireing into the 94 tranny. or does it get into alot more detail? id like to put the 94 trans in due to 94= 90,000 miles vs 220,000 on the 97 btw the tranny is goin into a 97 cherokee

 

Assuming they are both aw4's, i think you may run into a few problems with obd1, changing to obd2, plus i believe you need to drop out valve body plus the pan to swap out full wiring internally.
