i have a 99 xj with about 170000 miles original engine and trans last week while driving down the road it began to hop like it was running out of fuel and cut off while i was driving check engine light came on and i pluged it in and it said tps was bad changed it and i rode for about a day then it began to hop again like it was running out of fuel feels like the trans is gonna drop out i pluged it in again now all the computer says is trans malfunction and thats it does anyone have any idea what could be wrong ive been told that the trans filter could be cloged and needed to be changed if anyone else has a idea let me no
