Do you have a write-up or a link to one describing the TV cable adjustment in detail?

Not off hand. It's in haynes but it seems like the adjuster gets sticky when they get old. I'll look it up. There is a write up somewhere on the forum.

Throttle Position Sensor. On the Renix Jeeps it has two plugs. One for the engine side and the other plug for the TCU or Tranny Control Unit. The TCU is what controls how the tranny shifts and it also controls the Torque converter lockup and such.

I have a 88 cherokee 4.0L with a 3 speed Chrysler automatic transmission, it's slipping in drive ,when I bought it, the guy gave me a 4 speed aisin, automatic transmission with the matching transfer case , say it was out of a later model cherokee idk what year. How do I go about putting it? Like would it even work in my 88 ? Do i need to swap the computer ?

All 4.0s had the computer controlled AW4 behind them from the factory if they were automatics.

Something ain't right here.

Alright because my 96 is completely stuck in 3rd unless I manually shift it. We changed the fluid and even put in an additive but it's still stuck. The only time it isn't is when it's a cold morning start, but once it get heated up it's stuck.
